Requirements of Grantees Grantees must have tax-exempt documentation under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service code. Grantees must, upon receipt of a grant, execute a Grant Agreement which will have been included with the grant payment, and which will cover fund receipt requirements including those conditions under which repayment would be demanded. An approval process is also set out for Grantees to receive amendments to the terms of the Grant Agreement if need be. Grant agreements will vary with the particular grant made, but you may see a typical grant agreement form by following this link: Grant Agreement At the end of the
grant period, usually 12 months, grantees must agree to file a final
report
on the use of the funds, including both a narrative and an accounting
of the specific uses of the Foundation's grant monies. We provide
a form
for this purpose that you may copy and paste into a word processing document.
You may obtain this form by going to the downloads
page on this Web site. In the case of multi-year grants interim annual reports will be required in addition to a final report. Also, with an interim report where additional funding is to be released by the foundation, please provide a copy of the organization's most recent IRS letter confirming tax exempt status. If a fiscal sponsor is being used, please provide their most recent RS letter. Interim reports should include information similar to the final report, but on a grant-to-date basis. Go to Grant Report Form for more information. Books and records of grant expenditures must be maintained and, if called for, be made available for inspection by the Foundation. Grantees must agree to continued Foundation monitoring of the progress of the project or program funded. Books and records of grant expenditures must be maintained and made available for inspection by the Amelia Peabody Foundation. Grant monies may not be used to influence the outcome of any public election, nor may they be used to conduct directly or indirectly any voter registration drive. |
