Before You Apply

Grants are only made to 501(c)(3) tax exempt organizations for projects and programs that will be carried out in Massachusetts.

Grants are not made to individuals.

Grant applicants may make new applications once a year regardless of the funding decision by the Trustees on a previous application. For instance, if your organization applied at the January deadline in 2008, receiving a response in February, a new application may be made for the January deadline in 2009 regardless of the funding decision of the Trustees in 2008. Please note, however, that if the Trustees decided to fund a proposal no funding will be released by the Foundation until reports due on any previous funding have been filed and approved.  See our Grant Report Form. In the above example, before new funding would be released on an application filed in January 2009 a final report on any funds granted in response to the January 2008 grant application must be filed and approved.

If you have already received a Peabody grant and are now reapplying, after the 12 month minimum interval, we must have in our possession a complete report of how the previous grant monies were spent, as well as evidence that all previous contract requirements have been met, before we will consider your new request. Please use the Grant Report Form form provided here.
